We are honored that your medical doctor sent us your referral for your sleep & respiratory health journey. At Pulmonary Solutions, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your individual needs. This page will help you understand what to expect as a new patient, including appointment preparation, billing, and insurance information.

What to Expect

Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care in a respectful and supportive environment. During your visit, we focus on clear communication, patient education, and collaborative decision-making.

Please note the following process for your new order.

  • New order was received by your medical doctor or health insurance for medical equipment/ supplies.

  • Your insurance card(s), we will need to have on file. To upload front and back of health insurance card(s), click here. Patient Hub Portal

  • Verify insurance and eligibility, if authorization is required from your insurance we will request authorization; we will continue processing your order. However, if you have medi-cal or HMO insurance, these require authorization. 

  • Review your health insurance required medical records your doctor sent, to ensure you will qualify based upon your health insurance requirements.

  • ​Once your order is created, you will receive updates via text or email. Please allow 5-7 days from order date. In some cases with authorization or missing medical documents could take longer.

  • Our clinical team will contact you to discuss equipment process and insurance, eligibility, in addition to any financial responsibility. All financial breakdowns are based upon insurance verification and your health plan coverage. 

  • Schedule appointment for on-site or tele-care education and training options. Please allow roughly 60 minutes for the education on the equipment therapy. You will need to re-demonstrate the process. If you are not able, please have a family member with you at this time.

Appointments & Cancellations

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your first visit to allow time for check-in. We are open M-F 9am-5pm, closed for Lunch 12-1. Please complete the check-in process in advance. Click Here

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, we request at least 24 hours’ notice. Phone or text 725-263-1670

  • Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee, as permitted by law.

Billing Information

Pulmonary Solutions is committed to transparent and accurate billing practices.

  • Charges for services are based on the medical equipment provided this will include hcpcs codes.

  • Co-insurance and deductibles are due at the time of service.

  • Billing invoices will be issued for any remaining balance after insurance processing. In most cases this could take 60-90 days; however in certain cases the insurance could take up to 6-12 months.

If you have questions about a bill or need assistance, our billing team is available to help.

Insurance Information & Disclaimer

We work with many insurance plans and will submit claims on your behalf as a courtesy.

Important Insurance Disclaimer:

  • Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment.

  • Coverage, medical necessity determinations, and payment decisions are made solely by your insurance carrier.

  • You are financially responsible for all charges not covered by your insurance plan, including denied services, deductibles and co-insurance.

  • Some services may require prior authorization. Failure to obtain authorization may result in reduced or denied payment.

If your insurance changes, please notify our office promptly to avoid billing delays or claim denials. Upload your new health insurance in our Patient Hub Portal

Financial Responsibility

By receiving services at Pulmonary Solutions, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for understanding your insurance benefits.

  • You accept financial responsibility for all services rendered, regardless of insurance coverage.

  • Balances not paid in a timely manner may be subject to additional collection efforts, as permitted.

  • Payment plans may be available upon request for qualifying balances.

Patient Rights & Privacy

We respect your rights as a patient and are committed to protecting your privacy. Your health information is handled in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
